Spartan Promotional Group, Inc. was founded in 1966 by co-owners, Phyllis and Allen Hohenwald. Located in Oakdale, Minnesota our corporation is comprised of three divisions:

• Spartan— Full service promotional advertising distributor doing business nationwide, with its corporate office in Oakdale, MN. Satellite offices in Minneapolis, MN; Tempe, AZ and Chicago, IL.
• Applied Images— On-site computerized engraving, screen & pad printing and embroidery operations are located at the headquarters facility.
• House of Graphics— Graphic art studio servicing Spartan's graphic art needs, as well as, clients throughout the Twin Cities and beyond.

Spartan employs approximately 80 full-time employees and has over 100 independent advertising account executives located throughout the nation. With over $23,000,000 of business annually, Spartan has won numerous "Golden Pyramid" awards (the highest award judged and awarded by the Promotional Products

Association International (PPAI) for promotional programs.

Industry Involvement:
Spartan recognizes the importance of supporting and building the image of the specialty advertising industry, both locally and nationally. The current management team has actively volunteered time and services extensively over the years.
Local Association:
Spartan's CEO, President and Vice President of Finance have each served on the board of directors of the Upper Midwest Association of Promotional Products (UMAPP), with each also serving as convention chairman and President of this association.
National Association:
Spartan's CEO, President and Administrator have all served on numerous committees for the Specialty Advertising Association International, a 4,000+ member trade association. Allen Hohenwald, Spartan's CEO, has completed a four-year term on the Board of Directors for the National Association, serving as Vice Chairman of the Awards, Distributors and Membership Services Committees, as well as serving on the board's Executive Committee, Budget and Finance Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.
